I can’t wait to shoot with you! Here are some details and FAQ’s that will help our session go smoothly and ensure that we have fun!
1. Where do we shoot?
I am a on-location photographer. As a natural light photographer, the only requirement I need from a location is good natural light so I can create the most beautiful images for you. Other than that, the location is your choice! For our two hour session, we can fit up to two locations as long as they are close to each other in distance. There is an extra travel fee for locations that are 20 miles from downtown Dallas.
Newborn and Baby Studio Sessions are done conveniently at your home! I will bring my studio set up with plenty of backdrops, blankets and props to take beautiful studio shots of your little one.
2. What time will be our session?
Again, I need great natural light to create beautiful photos. This means that if we are outside as most of my sessions are, we need shaded areas and no direct sunlight that causes harsh lighting and squints. Therefore all of my sessions are scheduled two hours before sunset which is the “magic hour” in photography and provides beautiful lighting.
At home newborn and baby sessions with generally start at 2pm in your home.
3. What do I wear?
I suggest clothes that reflect your personality. However, I always believe that bright colored clothes photograph so beautifully! I also love it when families or couples wear clothes that don’t not necessarily match, but definitely complement each other! That may mean a common accent color, or colors that work well together. We should have time for a change of clothes, so you can bring one set of casual clothes, and then a dressier outfit. Be aware of your body type and choose clothes that shows off your assetts. Fitted clothes will photograph much better than loose, baggy clothes. I also absolutely love when people bring props to their shoots to help make their session more interesting and fun!
4. When will we get to see our pictures?
My usual turnaround time for a portrait session is 2-3 weeks and for a wedding is 4-6 weeks. I will post your images for viewing to a online gallery. You will use your gallery to order your prints/CD.
